Following her Oscar-nominated turn in Spielberg’s The Fabelmans, Michelle Williams will next embody the voice of Britney Spears by narrating her upcoming memoir, “The Woman in Me.”

Spears will record an introduction to the audiobook and Williams will narrate the rest.

Out Oct. 24 via Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, “The Woman in Me” promises to tell the “incredible journey (and) strength at the core of one of the greatest performers in pop music history,” per a press release. The memoir “illuminates the enduring power of music and love — and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.”

The audiobook will be released simultaneously with the print editions of “The Woman in Me.”
Spears landed the massive publishing deal for a tell-all memoir, just a few months after her conservatorship was terminated.
Simon & Schuster acquired the rights to Spears’ book last year after bidding war that involved multiple publishers. Spears is reported to be raking in as much as $15 million in the “record-breaking” deal.

“This book has been a labor of love and all the emotions that come with it,” Spears said in a statement to People magazine, which broke the news of Williams’ involvement. “Reliving everything has been exciting, heart-wrenching and emotional, to say the least. For those reasons, I will only be reading a small part of my audiobook. I am so grateful to the amazing Michelle Williams for reading the rest of it.”

Williams offered her own statement in support of Spears: “I stand with Britney.”
