The film is a sequel to the 2006 film Paris, je t’aime, which had the same structure and is the second installment in the Cities of Love franchise, created and produced by Emmanuel Benbihy.

With The Inspection, filmmaker and photographer has made his ambitious debut, a drama based on his own experiences as a gay man in Marine Corps basic training following a decade of living on the streets.
