James L. Brooks is the writer/director of "How Do You Know," the new romantic comedy starring Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, and Jack Nicholson. The film is being released by Columbia Pictures on December 17.
“We all have, at some point, a feeling that everything we’ve depended on we can’t depend on anymore. And when that happens, the only thing we have left is love,” says Brooks. “You can think your life is terrible, and then he or she walks in and it’s not terrible anymore. That’s it – love is our saving grace.”
Jeff Bridges reprises the role of Kevin Flynn in "TRON: Legacy," the remake of the 1982 classic "Tron," which also stars Bridges. The film, which is directed by Joseph Kosinski and also stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde, is being released by Disney on December 17.
“I love going to movies and whenever I see a big epic film where the character has aged from being a young boy to an old man, traditionally there are different actors playing him in those stages. That’s always a little bump for me as I’m sitting there, when they change from one actor to the next. But now as an actor it’s very gratifying to know that I can play myself or the character that I’m playing at any age, from an infant to an old man. That’s really exciting, especially to be part of this groundbreaking technology.”
Angelina Jolie stars in "The Tourist," directed by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. The film, which also stars Johnny Depp, is being released by Columbia Pictures on December 10.
“My character in this film is different than any other film,” says Jolie. “Florian gave me very specific direction. My natural modern rhythm is quicker and harder. At the beginning of the shoot, Florian’s note to me was to slow down, as Elise lives in a world of quiet luxury and elegance.”
