In her eloquent feature, All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt, poet-turned-filmmaker Raven Jackson uses minimal dialogue and immersive style to explore the life of a Black woman in the rural South.

The film charts the growth, loves, and heartbreaks of a Black woman in Mississippi, from her childhood through her adult years.

The story follows Mack (Charleen McClure) across several decades, with fragments of her life expressed in bold style.

Written and directed by Raven Jackson, All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt stars Charleen McClure, Moses Ingram, Sheila Atim, and Chris Chalk.

Oscar winner Barry Jenkins (Moonlight) serves as a producer under his Pastel banner.

The A24 film had its world premiere in the U.S. Dramatic competition of Sundance Fest on January 22, 2023.
