Indie Directors: Sundance Film Fest 2020–Angel Manuel Soto

An award-winning filmmaker from Santurce, Puerto Rico, Angel Manuel Soto is the director of Charm City Kings, which premiered at the 2020 Sundance Film Fest.

His first feature, La Granja, won Best Opera Prima at the 2015 Guadalajara Film Fest.

With media company RYOT, Soto directed over 20 documentaries, including El Púgil, which premiered during the 2016 Tribeca Film Fest, the VR documentary Bashir’s Dream, and the groundbreaking VR experience Dinner Party, which premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Fest.
