Ray worked with minimal budgets, inexperienced crew and non-actors.
He is best known for his Apu Trilogy–Pather Panchali, Aparajito, and Apur Sansar, three films that became seminal works in film history.
But Ray went on to make equally masterful films over the next 40 years.
