After winning his first directing Oscar for Unforgiven, which also won the 1992 Best Picture Oscar, Clint Eastwood said:
“I was glad to get the Oscar for ‘Unforgiven,’ because in my mind it was probably the last of that genre that I was going to make. Maybe that’s why I put it in the drawer. It’s almost like fate.”
