Sophie Kinsella, the English author of the successful “Shopaholic” book series that was adapted into the 2009 film Confessions of a Shopaholic” has died. She was 55. 

She played the role of the Swedish immigrant mother of Loretta Young in The Farmer’s Daughter (1947).

For playing a woman in a difficult marriage in the drama Twice in a Lifetime (1985), Madigan  earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actress Oscar.

Much of the movie’s potential rests on an unknown actress, Chase Infiniti, age 25, making her film debut. 

In 1984, Stoppard won the Tony for “The Real Thing,” which garnered another Tony in 2000 for revival.
