Wonder of Women (1929): Clarence Brown’s Oscar Nominated Domestic Melodrama, Starring

In Clarence Brown’s domestic melodrama, Wonder of Women, Lewis Stone plays a concert pianist, who cheats on his wife (Peggy Wood).  However, only when she dies, does he realize how much he loved her and how important she was to him.

The source material for this sentimental movie was Hermann Sudermann’s novel, adapted to the screen by Beth Meredyth, who was Oscar nominated for Best Writing Achievement.
