The Universal film arrives in theaters November 27.

The first trailer for Wicked arrived, with the trailer showing off part one of a two-part adaptation of the Broadway musical.
Ariana Grande stars as Glinda, opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba in the film, which hails from Jon M. Chu. The rest of the cast includes Michelle Yeoh, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Jeff Goldblum, Marissa Bode, Keala Settle, Bronwyn James, Adam James and Bowen Yang.
Wicked is due out November 27, the same day Disney recently dated for a sequel to Moana.
Wicked is an adaptation of Tony-winning Broadway musical, which was inspired by Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel retelling The Wizard of Oz.
He published it as Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.
Wicked wrapped the shoot, with Chu and Grande confirming the news on social media. Wrote Grande: “I am so inexplicably thankful that we got to add so many soggy eyelashes to the collection.”
The Super Bowl remains a prime launching ground for Hollywood studios to debut first looks. This year, 30 second ads were going for $7 million. The game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers has added interest thanks to music superstar Taylor Swift, who has become a Chiefs booster after beginning a relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
