In his new docu, “Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden” filmmaker Morgan Spurlock (“Super Size Me”) sets out on a dangerous mission throughout the Middle East to find the world’s most elusive international fugitive.
The Oscar-nominated writer-director takes on the world’s most notorious terrorist armed with only a camera crew in this humorous, occasioally thought-provoking documentary, which will be released on DVD August 26 from Genius Products and Weinstein Company.
Laden’s continued success at evading capture motivates the gung-ho Spurlock to set out with no military experience or expertise to find the man that numerous government agencies and bounty hunters have been unable to locate.
But before he can begin the hunt for bin Laden, Spurlock must learn where the man came from, what makes him tick, and what historical forces made him the person he is today. To that extent, he takes it to the streets, speaking one-on-one with people in Afghanistan, Egypt, Israel, Pakistan and international hotspots throughout the Middle East.
An official selection of the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, “Where in the World is Osama Bin Ladenwill be available on DVD for the retail price of $24.95.
