A period musical, set at the 1892 World’s Fair in Chicago, Wabash Avenue stars Victor Mature and Bette Grable, then at the end of her popularity.
Essentially a remake of Betty Grable’s earlier and better musical, “Coney Island,” this one is directed without much distinction by the reliable craftsman Henry Koster.
The supporting cast includes Reginald Gardiner and Margaret Hamilton.
