Jan 16, 2007–A&E IndieFilms have acquired North American TV rights to Amir Bar-Lev’s My Kid Could Paint That, which will premiere at the 2007 Sundance Film Fest later this week.
Described as a “unique hybrid deal,” the preemtive pact includes rights acquisition and equity investment with A&E on board as a partner with the filmmakers. The entity will seek a theatrical deal for the film before it’s shown on TV.
