Private Investigator on Mission in ‘Sugar’ Trailer
The AppleTV+ series also stars James Cromwell, Anna Gunn, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Amy Ryan.

Oscar nominee Colin Farrell is a private investigator determined to find a missing woman in the trailer for AppleTV+‘s Sugar.
He portrays John Sugar who is hired to find the missing granddaughter of legendary Hollywood producer Jonathan Siegel.
As he dives into her mysterious disappearance, the private investigator begins unearthing the Siegel family’s dark secrets.
Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Amy Ryan, James Cromwell, Anna Gunn, Dennis Boutsikaris, Nate Corddry, Sydney Chandler and Alex Hernandez round out the cast.
It isn’t long before things begin to go south for the private investigator, as people fight to get him to stop looking for the missing woman.
“Tip the world on its side, and everything loose lands in Los Angeles,” Farrell says toward the end of the two-minute video. “After all this time, is this place starting to turn me upside down?”
Sugar marks the second TV project Farrell is set to star in.
In addition to the AppleTV+ genre-bending series, he is also reprising his role as Penguin in The Batman spinoff for HBO Max.
Farrell serves as an exec producer on Sugar, alongside creator Mark Protosevich, directors Fernando Meirelles and Adam Arkin, Audrey Chon, Simon Kinberg, Sam Catlin, Scott Greenberg and Chip Vucelich.
The first two episodes of Sugar premiere on AppleTV+ on April 5, followed by one new episode every Friday until the finale May 17.
