Demi Moore, 62, Oscar nominee for The Substance, was later pictured in a hotel room coping with her loss.
Earlier in the evening, Moore had walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood wearing what her stylist Brad Goreski described as a “full wattage” bejeweled custom Giorgio Armani Privé dress.
Moore slipped into another sparkly halter number with a central cut-out for the Vanity Fair after-party.
Moore was a favorite to win at last night’s award ceremony. She had previously won SAG, which marked her first major acting award. “This is the first time I’ve ever won anything as an actor,” she said, adding that she had previously been dismissed by executives as a “popcorn actress.”
