Office Christmas Party: Ensemble Drive Comedy Directed by Will Speck

Paramount’s holiday comedy Office Christmas Party grossed $950,000 Thursday night.

The ensemble-driven film, which stars Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, T.J. Miller, Jillian Bell, Courtney B. Vance, Rob Corddry, Kate McKinnon and Jennifer Aniston, is this weekend’s only new wide release.

The comedy is tracking in the high-teen millions, although Paramount is being more cautious in suggesting $13 million-$15 million.

Directed by Will Speck and Josh Gordon, the film follows a group of co-workers who try to throw a crazy holiday bash to impress a potential client and save the company.

The film’s mid-range budget of $45 million is co-produced by DreamWorks and Reliance Entertainment.
