My Life as a Zucchini: Top Animation at European Film Awards

Claude Barras’s My Life as a Zucchini, which opened the Directors Fortnight series at the 2016 Cannes Film Fest, won best animated film at the European Film Awards, held this year in Poland.

The film beat competition from Michael Dudok de Wit’s The Red Turtle and Psiconautas, the forgotten children.

My Life as a Zucchini is representing Switzerland in the best foreign-language film Oscar.

It is also one of the animated features shortlisted for the best animated feature Oscar category.

Gkids has U.S. distribution rights.
