In Music in My Heart, directed by Joseph Santley, Tony Martin plays a singer from a European country (unnamed), who faces deportation–unless he can get work.
Sure enough, he gets a job–and with Rita Hayworth no less.
This was the first musical of Rita Hayworth, soon to become Columbia’s reigning star, and to make more significant musicals, two of which with Fred Astaire.
