Hollywood 2026: Films Anticipated–Variety and Diversity

In 2026, we will see popular franchises, family films, and young directors making ambitious films.

From “Scream 7,” “Ready or Not 2” and “28 Years Later: The Bone Temple” for the horror fans, to “Wuthering Heights” and “Sense and Sensibility” for the romantics.

Kids will also relish animated titles, from the original “Hoppers,” “GOAT” and “The Cat in the Hat” to anticipated sequels “Toy Story 5,” “Minions 3” and “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie.”

Families can look forward to a live-action “Moana” remake and fourth Jumanji film.

This year will also see Star Wars, Marvel and DC on the big screen: “The Mandalorian and Grogu” takes us back to a galaxy in May, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” and “Supergirl” fly into view over the summer and “Avengers: Doomsday” brings its exhaustive list of heroes to theaters at the end of the year.

Two of the most celebrated filmmakers will return to theaters as Universal releases Spielberg’s “Disclosure Day” and Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” over the summer. Both stand to be impressive epic spectacles.
