Go for Broke! (1951): irosh and Schary’s Oscar Nominated Message Film, Starring Van Johnson

Directed by Rovert Pirosh and produced by the liberal Dore Schary, Go for Broke is a message drama, made after WWII.

It starts the likeable Van Johnson as a bigoted man sent by the army to head the 442nd combat team, which is largely made up of Japanese-American.
