Coney Island (1943): Betty Grable Star Vehicle

One of WWII pin-up girl Betty Grable’s most popular movies, Coney Island is nonetheless a routine musical, set at the turn of the century.

Backed by George Montgomery, Grable plays an entertainer who becomes a star, but then has to compete with the romantic rival, played by Caesar Romero.

The songs are by Ralph Rainger and Leo Robin.
