Rock Hudson, taking a break off from his Doris Day films, stars in Come September, a two-generational romantic comedy as Robert Talbot, an ultra-rich and spoiled American.

Talbot owns an Italian villa, where he stays only one month out of the year (September), but when Talbot suddenly decides to show up in July, Talbot’s overseer Maurice (Walter Slezak) is shocked to see him, as he has turned Talbot’s villa into a hotel for the year’s remaining 11 months.
Talbot becomes distracted by the beautiful Lisa Helena Fellini (Gina Lollobrigida) and soon he is trying to prevent her from marrying another man.
Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin (in his first screen role) play young guests of the villa, as Sandy and Tony.
The movie was hugely popular at the box-office.
Dee and Darin got married after this picture.
Watch for Mulligan’s next film, the far different and superior courtroom drama, To Kill a Mockingbird, starring Gregory Peck in iconic role.
