Amal Clooney walked the Cannes red carpet in a vintage John Galliano gown.
Her husband George was absent, but Amal posed alongside the couple’s close friend Bono at the premiere of his new doc.
Amal’s last red carpet outing was in the fall, when she attended the Albie Awards.
On Friday, Amal attended the Cannes Film Fest premiere of Bono’s new documentary without her husband George Clooney, stealing the show in a vintage John Galliano gown.
Amal’s fitted off-the-shoulder frock featured a floor-length train. The human rights lawyer accessorized with diamond-encrusted statement earrings and cocktail rings, as well as a black clutch.
The Clooneys and Bono go way back: the U2 frontman even attended their wedding in Venice over a decade ago, calling it, “very emotional and lovely.”
Last fall, the couple stepped out in New York for the Albie Awards, a gala hosted by their charitable organization the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
Amal also opted for a black gown, this time a velvet Atelier Versace number with a plunging neckline.
At the event, George fawned over Amal: “I would support anything my wife is involved in. She’s always on the right side of history, and I’m always so proud to be in the same room with her no matter what.”
