Cannes Film Fest 2018: Burning Wins Major Critics Awards

Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro director Hayao Miyazaki was honored with the career achievement award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA)..

Last year’s winner Call Me By Your Name went on to earn a best picture nomination from the Academy Awards.

Sean Baker’s The Florida Project was the runner-up, but the indie failed to garner a best picture nomination at the Oscars.
