Ben (1972): Phil Karlson’s Oscar-Nominated Sequel to Willlard

This sequel to the surpirse hit horror-thriller, Willard (1971), could be summed up in one sentence, a boy’s best friend is his rat.

Lee Harcourt Montgomery plays an invalid boy who befriends the king of the rats in this Phil Karlson-directed movie, which is now known mostly for its Oscar-nominated song.

The supporting cast includes Arthur OÇonnell, Rosemary Murphy, and Joseph Campanella.
