And Breathe Normally: Icelandic Director Isold Uggadottir’s Tale of Female Friendship

HBO Audience Awards for best narrative feature, at the 2018 Provincetown Film Fest, went to Icelandic director Isold Uggadottir’s And Breathe Normally, a female relationship drama about a border patrol officer and a refugee from Guinea-Bissau.

HBO documentary feature award was earned by Norah Shapiro’s Time for Ilhan, about the hard-fought campaign in Minnesota of Ilhan Omar to become the first Somali Muslim woman elected to state office in America.

Omar had just won the DFL endorsement to fill U.S. Rep. Keith Ellison’s congressional seat.
