Agnes and His Brothers (2004): Oskar Roehler’s Drama about Three Brothers, One Transgender (LGBTQ)

Oskar Roehler wrote and directed Agnes and His Brothers, a German drama about three different siblings, each plagued by a sex-related problem.

Hans-Jörg Tschirner (Moritz Bleibtreu) is a librarian who is a sex addict.  Werner (Herbert Knaup) is a politician, stuck in a troubled marriage and raising a son who enjoys discrediting his father.

Martin, who is now Agnes (Martin Weiß) after having a gender-reassignment operation, works as a dancer and is suffering from unrequited love.
