New York based distributor Several Futures has acquired Pierre Creton and Vincent Barré’s “7 Walks With Mark Brown” which just had its U.S. premiere at the New York Film Fest.
The documentary follows paleobotanist Mark Brown through Normandy as he identifies the rare flora of the region.
“We are thrilled with the upcoming release in the US of ‘7 Walks with Mark Brown,’ and with the possibility of presenting some of our previous long and short films,” said Creton and Barré.
Several Futures founder Graham Carter said “Creton’s handcrafted films have been (his) favorite discovery in years, bringing such wonderful work to the U.S. is an honor. His latest with Barré exemplifies the beauty of their practice and represents everything we stand for at Several Futures.”
Carter negotiated the deal with producer Arnaud Dommerc (“Félicité,” “The Competition”) from Andolfi. The movie’s digital photography was done by Creton, while 16mm photography was shot by Antoine Pirotte and Sophie Rogers. Creton and Barré edited the movie.
