Tony Awards 2026 Nominating Committee Include Bob Balaban, BD Wong, Jordan E. Cooper

Vet actors Bob Balaban, Black Jordan E. Cooper, and gay BD Wong, along with notable theater figures such as director Sarah Benson and Repertorio Español artistic director Rafael Sánchez, have been named to the 2025–2026 Broadway season Nominating Committee.
Presented by The Broadway League and American Theatre Wing, the Tony Awards are the most prestigious honors in the theater industry.
The Nominating Committee plays the key role in determining which Broadway productions receive nominations and ultimately win Tony statuettes. Members attend all eligible productions during the season and then vote on nominees.
The 64-person committee serves three-year terms and is composed of professionals from diverse disciplines of acting, directing, producing, design, and education.
For the 2025–2026 season, the committee features a mix of returning members and newly appointed experts.
