At the 2016 Spirit Awards, Edward Luchman won the Best Cinematography kudo for Todd Haynes’ lesbian romance, Carol.
In his acceptance speech, he said: “First I want to say awards are always unfair, whether you win or you lose. In the end, I hope this movie is an echo, that we all have the right to love and be loved.”
