First Academy Ceremony (1929)
A group shot of the first ceremony was captured by unknown photographer in the Hollywood Roosevelt’s Blossom Room.
It marked the second meeting of AMPAS but was the first in which awards were given.
Among the attendees are Louis B. Mayer, Cecil B. DeMille, Douglas Fairbanks, Irving Thalberg and Norma Shearer.
