Oscar Speeches: Forman, Milos, Amadeus Director

In 1985, after winning the Directors Guild Award (DGA) for “Amadeus,” Milos Forman said: “If you take the Oscar too seriously, as some sort of final judgment, you’re in trouble. But if you take it as a game, it’s wonderful.”

Forman went on to win a second Oscar for this biopic, which swept the Oscars.  His first Oscar was for “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” in 1975, which won Best Picture, Best Actor for Jack Nicholson and other Oscars.
