Oscar Scandals: Screenplay–Sheldon’s The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer

In 1947, Sidney Sheldon won the Best Original Screenplay for a mediocre feature, “The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer.”

It caused upset as the competition that year was particularly strong.  The other nominees were: “Body and Soul,” “A Double Life,” “Monsieur Verdoux,{ and “Shoeshine.”
