Oscar Movies: Libel (1959)–Dirk Bogarde in Courtroom Melodrama

Dirk Bogarde stars as abaronet and former prisoner of war, who’s accused of being an imposter.  He finds it difficult to prove his identity in this courtroom drama, directed by Anthony Asquith, and written by Anatole de Grunwald and Karl Tunberg, based on the play by Edward Wooll.

The excellent cast also includes Olivia De Havilland, Robert Morlet, and Wilfred Hyde-Whyte.
