In this Charles Vidor directed creepy dark house thriller, adapted by Reginald Denham, Edward Percey, and Garrett For (from Denham and Percy’s play), Ida Lupino plays a housekeeper who kills her employer to provide place for her mad sisters, Elsa Lanchester and Edith Barren.
But then the emploer’s nephew (Louis Hayward) arrives and figures out what she has done.
