Gaily, Gaily (1969)
In this adaptation of Ben Hecht memoirs about his years as a young Chicago reporter, Beau Bridges plays Ben Harvey.
Director Norman Jewison has assembled an international cast, including Melina Mercouri as a madam, Brian Keith as a vet reporter, Hume Cronyn as a politico, but the film is vastly disappointing.
Margot Kidder made her screen debut in this less than funny or gay film.
