Though one of the most nominated (7) films in 2006, “Babel” won only one Oscar, for Score. “Babel” competed for the top award with Scorsese's “The Departed,” which won Best Picture and Director, Clint Eastwood WW drama “Letters from Iwo Jima,” the indie comedy “Little Miss Sunshine,” and Stephen Frears' serio satire “The Queen,” which won Best Actress for Helen Mirren.
