Many artists and craftsmen win consecutive nominations and wins, as once they are nominated, they become “hot” (in demand) and get the best offers available.

Getting a nomination, or winning the Oscar, inevitably elevate their status and reputation and, as a result, their next work tends to get extra-attention.
