Born in 1918 in Leningrad, Russia. An eccentric character actress in occasional European and American films.

A resident of France from 1928, Kedrova won an Academy Award as best supporting actress for her performance in “Zorba the Greek” (1964). She was awarded the Golden Mask (best performance) at Italy's Taormina Film Fest for “Tell Me a Riddle”(1980).
