Oscar 2012: Producers Guild Awards January 26

Michael De Luca will produce the 24th annual Producers Guild Awards, while the guild has shifted the date of its ceremony at the Beverly Hilton to January 26, 2013.

“I’m energized to help recognize this year’s most deserving creative storytellers, and I’m honored the Producers Guild has chosen me to take on this existing task,” said De Luca, who most recently has produced Oscar-nominated films “Moneyball” and “The Social Network.” “I can’t wait to get started.”

The PGAs assumed a date on the awards calendar that had been vacated by the Directors Guild Awards, which moved to Feb. 2. The Screen Actors Guild Awards are Jan. 27.

For 2011, the PGA honored “The Artist” and producer Thomas Langmann with its Darryl F. Zanuck Award for feature films. Other kudos went to projects including “The Adventures of Tintin,” “Downton Abbey,” “Modern Family,” “Boardwalk Empire” “The Colbert Report,” “The Amazing Race” and “60 Minutes.”

Individual honors went to Leslie Moonves, Steven Spielberg, Don Mischer, Stan Lee and the producers of “In the Land of Blood and Honey.”
