August 19, 2009–The Writers Guild of America (WGA) will give its annual awards on February 20, 2010. The WGA West announced Wednesday that the event will be held at the Century Plaza while the WGA East said the location of its ceremonies will be disclosed at a later date.
The WGA's timeline for the awards are as follows: October 16, 2009 is the deadline for submission of TV scripts and October 23 is the deadline for online submission of small-screen scripts. The deadline for online submission of feature scripts is November 27, 2009.
The WGA's TV nominations will be announced December 14, 2008 and screen nominations will be disclosed January 11, 2010, a few weeks before the Oscar nominations..
