Sep 10, 2009—Taiwan has announced its film for consideration for the foreign-language film Oscar category.
The entry is director Leon Dai's "No puedo vivir sin ti," about an uneducated, unemployed man and his young daughter living happily together until the authorities intervene. The film took top honors at the Taiwan Film Festival in July.
The closing date for submissions to the foreign language category is October 1, 2008. Nominations will be announced February 2, 2009 and the Academy Awards telecast will take place on March 7, 2009.
