Cate Blanchett won the Supporting Actress Award for impersonating Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator, Scorsese’s lush biopic of Howard Hughes.
Three of the five actresses were nominated for a biopic. Laura Linney played the researcher wife of Kinsey, and Sophie Okonedo played Don Cheadle’s ife in Hotel Rowunda.
