Oscar Movies: Operation Thunderbolt (1977), Real-Life Adventure from Israel

Directed by Israeli powerhouse producer, Menahem Golan (Cannon Films), this thrilling adventure document the Israeli retaliation, when terrorists hijack a plane going to Entebbe airport in Uganda.

The Israeli commandos, deservedly celebrated, managed to rescue the hostages in a brave and risky operation.

The cast includes the German actor Klaus Kinski and Asaf Dayan (son of Moshe Dayan, the Israeli General).

The exciting event was also portrayed in some Made-For TV telepics, such as Victory at Entebbe in 1976 and Raid on Entebbe in 1977.
