This must be–finally–Leo DiCaprio’s year at the Oscars.
Within one week, five-time Oscar nominee Leonardo DiCaprio won the Best Actor kudo for his fearless performance in The Revenant from two major groups: The Golden Globe Best Actor (Drama) from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), of which I am a member, and the Critics Choice Best Actor from the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA), to which I also belong.
DiCaprio attended the Golden Globes Awards show last Sunday, January 10, but was unable to be in person at the Critics Choice show tonight, January 17, due to his being in Europe on a promotional tour of The Revenant.
DiCaprio sent his acceptance speech via video, which was screened at the show.
