For some reason, the superbly crafted racing adventure did not enter “oscar conversaion” this year?

Brad Pitt’s racing epic “F1” is streaming now on Apple TV after grossing over $640 million at the worldwide this summer to become the biggest box office hit of the actor’s career.
The movie is directed by no other then Top Gun: Maverick helmer Joseph Kosinski.
It follows Bad Pitt’s character as he emerges from retirement to coach a rookie driver (Damson Idris) and save a failing F1 team.
The chemistry between the vet driver (played by Pitt effortlessly and with great charm) and the younger one (boud to become a star) is strong, and the racing scenes thrilling enough to overcome a convemtional and predictable plot.
The only guild to recognize ths picture’s merits was the Producers Guild (PGA), which found room for F1 among its Ten Nominees fr Best Picture.
