Nicole Kidman will star in the thriller Silent Wife, to be directed by Adrian Lyne from a script by Billy Ray.
FilmNation is introducing the project to buyers at the American Film Market.
Silent Wife centers on a spouse who discovers that her husband is leaving her for a younger woman. She responds by beginning to plan his murder.
Kidman was most recently seen “Queen of the Desert” and “Grace of Monaco.” She’s been loosely attached to the project since 2013, when the bestseller by A.S.A. Harrison was published.
Lyne’s previous credits include “Fatal Attraction,” “Indecent Proposal” and “9 1/2 Weeks.”
Ray’s credits include “The Hunger Games,” “Captain Phillips” and “The Secret in Their Eyes.”
The producers are Lyne, Kidman, Per Saari’s Blossom Films, Paula Mazur and Mitchell Kaplan’s Mazur/Kaplan Company.
