Colman Domingo joins Glen Powell in Edgar Wright’s ‘The Running Man’ movie

Oscar nominated actor Colman Domingo will host the world’s most dangerous game show. The Sing Sing actor has been cast to star opposite Glen Powell in Paramount’s remake of Running Man movie.

The dystopian actioner is produced and directed by Edgar Wright (Shaun of the DeadBaby Driver) and is based on Stephen King‘s 1982 novel of the same name, which he wrote under his pseudonym Richard Bachman.

Other cast members include Josh Brolin, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Emilia Jones, William H. Macy, Katy O’Brian, and Lee Pace.

The Running Man is scheduled for a theatrical release in November 2025.

The book was originally adapted for the big screen in 1987, starring Schwarzenegger as the titular character, which Powell takes on in the new movie. Set in 2025, a game show called The Running Man had people chased by murderous Hunters across the world to win money. Domingo will reimagine the role of the game show host, originally played by the late Richard Dawson.
