Paris Jackson is refuting claims made by Colman Domingo regarding her alleged involvement in Michael, the upcoming Michael Jackson biopic from director Antoine Fuqua and writer John Logan.

Oscar nominee Domingo stars in the film as Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson.

While hosting the amfAR benefit gala in Venice, Colman was quoted by People magazine as saying that Paris and her brother Prince are “very much in support of our film.”

Paris and Prince are Michael Jackson’s children. Paris Jackson was performing at the amfAR event, to which Domingo added: “I’m excited to be here at amfAR tonight with Paris. It feels like that’s a nice way for us to be together.”

Paris Jackson responded on her Instagram story to People’s article by distancing herself from the movie and Domingo. She wrote: “[Colman], don’t be telling people I was ‘helpful’ on the set of a movie I had 0% involvement in lol. That is so weird. I read one of the first drafts of the script and gave my notes about what was dishonest [and] didn’t sit right with me and when they didn’t address it I moved on with my life. Not my monkeys, not my circus. God bless and godspeed.”
Paris said: “I wasn’t involved at all, aside from giving feedback on the first draft and then getting the feedback that production was not actually going to address your notes at all.”

Michael stars Michael Jackson’s nephew, Jaafar Jackson, in the title role.

Nia Long plays Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother, while Miles Teller stars as entertainment lawyer John Branca.

The cast also includes Laura Harrier, Kat Graham, Larenz Tate and Derek Luke.

Michael is set for release on April 24, 2026 from Lionsgate.
