Invisible Man: Remake to Star Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House)

Universal and Blumhouse have found the Invisible Man.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen, The Haunting of Hill House star, will play he title role in The Invisible Man.

He joins Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Harriet Dyer and Storm Reid in the update on the classic Universal monsters character.

Saw co-creator Leigh Whannel penned the script and is directing the film, which will be shot in Sydney, Australia this month.

In addition to Netflix’s Haunting of Hill House, Jackson-Cohen’s credits include the BBC drama Man in an Orange Shirt and NBC Oz, the reimagining Emerald City.

When Universal was plotting a shared universe based on its monsters, Johnny Depp was set to star in a film based on the character.

The box office failure of the 2017 Tom Cruise film The Mummy saw the budding Dark Universe fail.

Moss has previously teased the upcoming Invisible Man as a feminist spin on the old tale.
